The VBD-CH-S55 LED Aluminum Channel is a low profile aluminum channel that comes in two different sizes: 2.4 meters (94.4 inches) and 3 meters (118 inches). The channel is made of anodized aluminum and has a silver grey color. The diffuser type is frosted and is made of polycarbonate (PC) material.
The dimensions of the VBD-CH-S55 are 3000 x 17.6 x 8mm (118 x 0.69 x 0.31in) and 2400 x 17.6 x 8mm (94.4 x 0.69 x 0.31in), depending on the place of delivery. The channel is compatible with LED strip widths up to 12mm and comes with end caps (1 pair).
The VBD-CH-S55 can be installed through recessed or flush mount or surface mount. Additional accessories are sold separately, such as 4 pairs of endcaps (VBD-ENCH-S55), 6 pcs of mounting clips (VBD-CLCH-S55), and VEROBOARD.
This aluminum channel is mostly used for indoor/outdoor projects and is popular for under cabinet lighting, staircase, closet, and vanity lighting applications. Several lengths of this channel can be positioned together. It also acts as a heat sink for the LED strip installed in it, which increases the lifetime of the LEDs.
The VBD-CH-S55 is applicable for cabinets, shelves, closets, ceiling, shower doors, windows, accent lighting, and showcases in stores, among others. It can be recessed in a groove or mounted onto the surface using double-sided tape or screws.
The channel comes with a frosted diffuser, which helps reduce light glare and gives protection from dust, avoiding any kind of damage to the LEDs. The aluminum material is corrosion-free and can be used for outdoor purposes with waterproof strip lights (IP 66 and higher rating). The endcaps should be sealed with silicon to avoid getting in contact with water. The diffuser material PC is resistant to UV rays and also protects from moisture.
